Dayton Traister triggers
Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has tried a D-T trigger for Mauser 98? What did you think?

I most recently used a timney sportsman, and was not overly impressed. The finish was terrible, the sear terrible, and adjustment nuts work loose (I don't think I should have to loc-tite an ADJUSTABLE trigger).

I haven't ruled out the Blackburn yet, either.

Thanks,
Todd

I have used the Dayton Taister on several rifles, no Mausers, and found them to be very good. I have used them along side Timney and find that they both clean up and work very well.

DT triggers tend to break.. The flat steel spring is the culprit...I would not use them on a DGR...I only use Blackburn triggers. I tried DT because they required less wood removal on Mausers as does the mil. trigger, but I got a couple of them back and had to deal with an angry customer that could have ben et...not worth lossin skin over..went to Blackburn and that was 25 years ago. no problems since.

Ray,

My Mauser 9.3x62 went out for a new stock and came back with a Blackburn trigger as well. I've been very impressed with it, but don't know where I could get another for my 7x64. Can you point me in the right direction?
