New Mauser 98 bolt stops

Am looking for new M98 bolt stops, are there any manufacturers that produce these or are all the M98 bolt stops available today used, appreciate any advice to source these please, thank you.

Try www.springfieldsporters.com. #62 ejector box assembly, M98 Mauser. Contact Russell and ask if he has any NOS. I've gotten a fair amount of parts from him and many were new DWM manufacture.

I just got a couple of new, heat blued ones from Sarco, but that ain't saying the next order will get that quality. There are new ones being made but they cost like they are made from solid gold.

I think they had a "new" category when I got them about a month ago. Maybe they are out; what you get is variable with them. Bolt stops seem to be harder to get now; been messing with Mausers for 40 years and those have always been the less common parts.

Much easier to find a good used one and polish it till it looks new. Gunbroker and even Ebay have folks parting out new Commercial Zastava actions all teh time. Finiding a bolt stop for $30-$40 wouldn't be too hard.

I'm not convinced there is that large a demand yet for NEW bolt stops. There are still enough good used units that are easily made to look new.

Maybe in a few more years. Still, they will not be inexpensive.

Yes, they are actually complicated pieces of hardware and do cost a lot to make (175 only in Germany; in the US they could be made cheaper) but the demand is not there for any economical production at this time.
