Proper stock screw torque on an HS precision??
I have heard that the stock screws in the Hs Precision stcks (vssf, sendero) play a critical role in accuracy. Now, am I missing something or is it simply a 65in/lbs issue? is there some other trick or method?

thanks

As far as I know, 65in/lbs is the correct torque, and is the only issue. Just be sure to seat the action all the way to the rear in the stock, so the recoil lug is flush against the bedding block.

Good luck.

True, 65 in/lbs is the "factory spec", but experiment. I've had rifles shoot better at 45 and 55 in/lbs. Worth a try...

I have a HS Precision Rifle, and I can remove it from the stock and then retorque it at 65" paunds and it does not lose zero.

I'll echo Cold Bore. My Rem sendero likes 6Nm/53 lbs.

I've had good luck with 60 to 65 on the front and 55 on the rear.
