AtkinsonOne eyed Jack (Belk) auction
Jack Belk has to have a cateract removed from one of his eyes and his pocket book is about 2 pounds lighter than a cork right now, so he is building a nice barreled Mauser action and auctioning it off over on Hunt America to take up the slack on the operation expenseses..It will have most all the bells and whistles on it and any thing additional you might want is available....He has photos posted on the auction board and the bidding is fast and furious but not near the actual value of the piece...
Hunt America under auctions.
Ray, a lot of guys here at AR may not know Jack from Adam (or Adam from Jack) but he posts a lot at huntamerica.com. Jack's a highly talented gunsmith, former teacher of gunsmithing at one of the most highly respected schools of that sort in the US and past president of the ACGG... not to mention he's a great guy.
I'm getting in on that auction and would encourage everyone to do so...

<Don Martin29>I wish Belk the best of luck. I also have read his stuff an he is a genuine expert and a real rifleman.
I might send a check direct to him. I can't afford an auction against the "big" boys but I can send something.
Does anyone have Belks address?

<Don Martin29>I just wrote and mailed a check for $20.00 to Jack Belk.
I feel good about that. I even put a NRA return address label on it.

<kailua custom>I think sending a few bucks his way is the best thing to do too. I ,myself, after going through cancer surgery two weeks ago, cannot afford to get into the bidding on the rifle. I am going to send him a check tomorrow. Jack is a real gentleman few and far between these days. Aloha, Mark[in Or]

John Y CannuckI'm not wealthy enough to afford a rifle like Jack can build, but I did send him $20.00 US.
All the best Jack.

Pecos41I agree. I'll get a check off to his this morning. We need to take care of our good gunsmiths.
