Stock Reshaper?
Not a tool - a person who can do it.

I like the original Ruger M77 stock - there's just too much of it. Who does stock reshaping?

He is a member of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild as a stockmaker. I have seen a couple of his reshaped Ruger stocks and he does a nice job of them. That was always his comment about them.."enough wood for two stocks"

About any stockmaker can do that in short time..I have done many of them, added a decent recoil pad, Fisher grip cap, and ebony forend tip, refinish and checker any pattern...You certainly can take a lot of wood off any factory stock and improve its looks and handling quantities...

IMO a new stock of Turkish, or English is a better route and you don't have to have exhibition wood just a nice $250 or $300 blank.

Thanks, guys.

Ray, I think having someone carve me a new stock from a blank is more than I wnat to put into this project. I could be wrong, though - what does a new stock cost?

Ray, Dwight Scott said hello. He told me some stories of some of the African Adventures with Saaed. We shot together at the Nationals this past week. By the way Jim Carmichael is a writer who can shoot very well. Butch
