I'll pay someone top $$ to machine an action screw.
Gentlemen:

I have a Kimber model 82 in .22 Hornet. In the process of having it re-blued, the front action screw has been lost. The screw is somewhat exotic. Specifically, the screw head serves both to recieve a screw driver blade [slotted] but also has a hole drilled in it from the top and threaded so that after it is screwed in to hold the front of the trigger housing, it also recieves the screw which bolts the floorplate on. I can send a drawing with specifications. I can pay whatever it costs to have this screw made. Without it, my goregous Kimber 82, rebarreled to .20 Hornet Improved is useless.

Help!!!!

Thanks,

Jordan

Jordan-

Have you checked Brownell's? www.brownells.com

Or Numrich's? www.gunparts.com

Or Kimber directly? www.kimberamerica.com (I think...)

Jordan--

Send me a print too. I'm pretty sure that's an aircraft part adapted to the rifle. It acts more as a nut than a screw but it *looks* like a screw.

Gentlemen:

Thanks to all who offered to help me with this problem. Through the good offices of a member of this board I was able to have a replacement part machined. Again, my sincere thanks to all who offered to help.
