Now I two conflicting thoughts on this. On the one hand, the open back seems like it would be far easier for dust and whatever to get up in the mechanism and between the trigger and sear. However, the open back end means it is a piece of cake to give it a good spritz with carb cleaner and get it really clean. Of course the trigger is pretty protected sitting there in its little mortise in the stock. But then dirt, especially dust, has a way of getting just about everywhere. And I dont usually take the rifle apart when cleaning, you have to re-verify sight settings and all.
I know, I worry too much. Anybody out there with experience with these Rifle Basix triggers? Particularly interested in gunsmiths who may have gotten rifles in for trigger problems which could be traced to dirt having too easy an access to the trigger parts?
