Kimber Montana Stocks, What are the made from and how to fix dent ?
Have a line on a Kimber Montana in .308 that a customer did not want due to a stock dent. I am wondering what the stocks are made from and how can it be repaired ?? Could it be bogged up with automotive bog and then sanded and resprayed ??

If the wood isn't broken, or a sharp edge around the dent, it can usually be steamed up and spot refinished as needed.

montana is synthetic isnt it? If so, then fill with
epoxie like accraglass, reshape and coat with your favorite textured spray paint.

Auto body filler is OK to shape patterns, fill pores or scratches but on a working rifle it can pop out of a deep dent after a few hot-cold cycles. You're better off usung an epoxy like skb says.

Yes the Montana is synthetic and has a carbon fiber Kevlar type stock. Accra glass...............do local hardware shops sell that stuff ??

Actually wonder if a surboard maker could repair it ??

A surfboard maker would be over qualified. if you know one, I can't think of a better source.
