Elkridge gunstocks
What is your opinion of these stocks? I know there was an old thread on this, but I can't get the search engine to pull it up. Any info would be appreciated.

Jeffe, just ordered a British Stalker from GAG. Great folks to deal with so far. Have bought from the bargain list before but this is the first custom order. I had some non-standard stuff I wanted and I thought they were very reasonable about the mods. They do laminated woods too, Sambubba.

i just got one from another fellow, a laminated classic. just like richards and gag the inletting is rough and there is way to much wood on the outside for my liking. it is ok by me as it is a lot easier to take it off at this stage then to try and get it to grow back on. a sample of one is not relevent, but this will be more than usable when the time comes.

HM...
you chunked RMF and GAG in the same group???

that's like saying a hundai and a chevy are the same... sure, they are both in the lower end, but you couldnt run fast enough to give me a hundai (rmf)

yep,
they are in the same group. probaly not really fair as i bought the elkridge stock from a guy who wanted to get out of it. i did not deal with the company for it. i have bought stocks from henry(gag)on numerous occasions over the years for various purposes. i have learned that it is a crap shoot like the others and that henry's gaurantee is not worth the ink it takes to print it. i will still purchase things from him if the need arises but i do so knowing the odds, same as the others.
