rechambering from 9,3x62 tox 64 or x 66

is it possible to rechamber a mauser(husqvarna)in 9,3x62 to 9,3x64 or sako 9,3x66? what else would be need than rechambering and oppening the bolt face?

ramrod340You wouldn't have to open the face on the 9.3X66. But to really get a lot of gain over the 62 it would be nice to have a longer box to allow you to set the bullet out.
9.3X64 would require the bolt face to be opened. You might need to do some feed rail work.
Sell me the Husqvarna 9.3x62 and build on something else.
Is it a 640 m98? Im looking for one.

IdaredI have a Ruger 77 that is a wildcat based on the 9.3X64 and all that was necessary was to open the bolt face a tad. It feeds great with the feedrails the way they were on the factory 30-06 chambering. If you are going to change it I too, would opt for the 9.3X64 Brenneke. It is a great round.

johnnyrebSomeone here on AR rechambered a CZ550 from 9.3x62 to x64, and besides the rechamber, only bolt face work was necessary. Magazine capacity was reduced from five to four, but no feed rail work was needed...
