olcripRemington R 3 recoil pads
Has anybody had any problems with the Remy R-3 recoil pads? I have several that are just melting. They are wet and gummy and sticking to my safe. Had to put paper pads under them to save the floor in my safe. Is there a remedy for this dilema? R-3 pads are nice but if they melt and bleed they're worthless.

338zmagI thought mine had the R-3, but they have the Super Cell. It appears they don't make the R-3 any more. I would tell Remington about the problem and ask for replacements.

mjc13I believe the Remington R 3 pads were made by Limbsaver. I recently discovered the Limbsaver pads on three guns had melted to the point were they stuck to the bottom of my gun safe. I called Limbsaver and was told that pads manufactured 2-3 years ago are defective because the supplier changed the chemical composition of the pad without Limbsaver's permission. I was told to return the defective pads to Limbsaver and received new pads within the week. I read somewhere, that the Remington pads will similarly be replaced by Remington.

No offense, but you waited over 3 years to make your first post and that's the best you could do?

Welcome!
