The only reasoning I can see for the CZ Model 3 was that CZUB would not listen to CZ USA's request of broadening the caliber offerings in the 550. That would be my guess.

As for the reason for the Model 3's departure, it could be any number of them. My guess would be that pricing to CZ USA got to the point where the whole project was a money loser.
