FjoldWho cut rifles barrels?
Looking to get a new 22-250 barrel made, can anyone tell me who cut rifles their barrels anymore?
Krieger cut rifles theirs, but neither Douglas or Shilen say what process they use on their website and I know that Pacnor and Hart button rifle theirs.

MingbogoI have used both Shilen and PAC-NOR and they both use button rifling. Why is so important to have cut rifling anyway?

Jay, IdahoHart and Lilja are both button pullers and both have quite a following. There is a new cut rifle barrelmaker in Dillon, MT, but I don't think he is doing .224 barrels, yet. He is doing .408, .308 amd 6.5 for sure and maybe .338 is next? Barney Lawton, 406-683-2388 if you want to contact him.
