Sako L61R safety conversion

Is it possible to convert a Sako L61R to a M70
type safety? Can someone recommend a gunsmith
that has done this conversion.

I think Ed LaPour (spelling?) bought the 3 position safety for the L61 from PME. I spoke with him sometime back about doing one for me, but have not got to it yet. Someone on here may have his phone number. Or you could contact PME.

That is one of the problems with the Sako 61. If I knew better I would never have built the rifle on one.

I am now using Sako scope rings on mine and they seem ok.
