I bought this stock several years ago and the story that came along with it was that it was a prototype stock for a Smith & Wesson rifle being developed sometime in the mid 1960s. This was prior to S&W using Husqvarna rifles. I have compared, searched, and shown this stock to several gunsmiths, but so far no one has been able to tell me what action the stock was intended to be fitted to. Any ideas? Thank You.

Looks something like a Golden Eagle my buddy had. Except for just behind the bolt handle.

BSA / Herters maybe

Disregard my last post about the BSA. I have a S&W Model E and it uses the last and latest model of the Husqvarna and is very similar to your stock with a Aluminun trigger guard that has a wide tang like that.

I have Model 1900 Husqvarna Rifles and the stock is not for that action.

Thank you Ramrod340 for the possibility and I think you might be correct. I have looked at Sauers, Voeres, Kricos, etc., but I have not looked at a Nikko. But, after looking in Stuart Otteson's "The Bolt Action, Vol. II, the Nikko olden Eagles is the closest thing so far. Now if I can find one to actually see the physical attributes. They are a little rare.
