Bwana-bemachining stainless, general
So, not smithing per se, but I thought some of you machinists could help me.
I have a nice, heavy-duty stock pot I'd like to put a hole in, to mount a spigot. It's for homebrewing. Can I jsut use a hole saw, or will this thing just laugh at me?
I don't mind losing the bit, but I also don't want to just throw it out the window if it's a silly idea.
What do you think? Worth a try or complete lunacy?
Pots are for the most part made of austenitic stainless steel( that is not hardenable).Use a sharp drill or hole saw with slower speeds. Shouldn't be a problem.
