Is Monty Kennedys Book the best book for checkering etc.

Or any other "good" books to learn checkering technique?

Just ordered Montys book...

I have read Monty Kennedy's, but I did have the Professional stock making or whatever the name of it was, but either my wife threw it away or I left it in a Hotel room in Houston while traveling on business.

I will probably buy the Monty Kennedy book to find out.

Not having read my copy from back to back, the one thing I noticed, is how many patterns are presented in Kennedy's book. That should be the overwhelming part of the material. It is possible that there is a technical section about checkering in there as well (sorry, book is @home, I'm @girlfriend's).

Most of the checkering patterns in Kennedy's book are dated. But, the checkering instructions are invaluable.
