I see all these mentions of the various coatings being applied to guns (Durakote, KGkote, cerakote, etc). If one does not like the outcome of the coating process, what recourse is there? Is there a chemical process you can utilize to remove this coating? Or does it have to be bead blasted off?

I'd like to know before I leap.....

It is my understanding that you would need to blast it off.
