After a 2-1/2 year gestation period, my new baby has arrived. This rifle is a 257 Roberts built on a Dakota single-shot action. Don Klein did all the work and it is superb. I need to look to into booking an antelope hunt.

Hey Stick-
The best thing about it is the stock is not really wood. Its a plastic stock with a fancy paint job. It's so strong I can hang it over a rafter and do pull-ups with both kids and my mother-in-law hanging from my legs.

ForrestB......I'm suprised no one else has commented on the scope...nice to see a sharp looking rig with a scope that doesn't have the "circle of gold".

Forrest that is awesome. Don does incredible work. So synthetics come with a ebony fore end tip now eh? And I dont know what that he was talking about, I didnt even see a scope.

Absolutely gorgeous, god I love those rifles.

ForrestB,

I'm amongst the first to appreciate exquisite craftsmanship.

Just amongst the last to be trudging such beauty through the puckerbrush with me. My sensabilities(and wallet),won't allow it.

Same reason I don't have a Porsche with cut out fender wells and baby Super Swampers on it,for a Hunting Rig. I'm a knuckledragger, always have been.

Regardless of differing opinions, that is exemplary craftsmanship..................
