Ruger rebarrel
I have rebarreled many Mausers but never a Ruger. Is it as straight forward as a Mauser
or are there problems unique to the Ruger?

Same thing, no problem.

It's even a flat bottom receiver like the Mauser. Thread pitch is different as is the shank diameter. Check the old barrel for that.

An then there is the #1, a whole different ball game. I could only assume you are referring to the M77, correct?

Yes, it's a M77 all-weather in 35 Whelen. I
was debating putting a SS Douglas or Pac-nor
on it in 1-12. To my knowledge all Rugers are
1-16 like Rem. I'm in no hurry, it shoots fine and I have other Whelens. But my curiousity
got the better of me. Thanks again for your info.
