can you post a pic of your action wrench? I have been using a connecting rod form a 307 Pontiac, but I am going to make a new wrench. I do want to still use my aluminum bushings I have made for different actions and am trying to figure out how to best make a new wrench.

Thanks!

I could not figure out how to reduce the pixel size; I think I have it now. Just waiting for the 325 WSM MRC barreled action to come back from the engraver to post a picture or three on that one.

The action gurd screw hole anchors the part while aligning the recoil lug in the correct position. I use an 18" piece of black iron pipe for my torque application.

It looks like photobucket deleted my original image of the barrel vise. Is that the way they do these things?

I've never lost one. Some have been there a real long time. If you do anything that changes the address the connection will drop.

Got so damn frustrated and then downright giddy when I got it to work that I posted it on the wrong forum.

This barrel vise has served me well for several years. Notice the "nut" is very tall for a lot of thread engagement. Also the threads are buttress type. I keep everything well greased with anti sieze compound.
