New stock-laminate wood or synth?
I'm looking to re-stock an older M700 308Win with either a boyds wood laminate or a Bell/Carlson synthetic. Any experiences with these would be appreciated. The gun doesn't get hard use but does see rainy weather occasionally. Thanks

I've got a Boyds JRS laminate on my 458 and a B&C synthetic on my 275 Rigby, either one will work fine. On the laminate just make sure you finish intside the barrel channel and under the recoil pad to keep it from absorbing moisture.

Take a look at www.accurateinnovations.com Excellent stocks. I have a gray laminate on a Model 70 stainless Sporter in .308 Win. and the contours are just superb.
