I put a Hogue pillar bedded stock on a win 70 222 not the aluminium block type. The stock fits well and seems to be well made. I did not bed it yet as it shoots very well as is. I like it because of the rubber over moulding, it won't get damaged in and out of the truck, plus it is warmer on the hands in winter. I find it good for the application.

I have one on a 10/22 that I use as a beater firearm. I like it.

I have put two on game rifles for guys, both guys using them for "take to work, thrown behind the seat, go hunting immediately following work" rifles. They like them.

I have to agree with Growler, he put it quite well, "good for the application".

They won't impress anyone with their look, but they do the job. Both large calibers were bedded, accuracy report is that they shoot just fine.

I have a pillar type Hogue stock(out of the box no bedding) on a Ruger MK II .338-WM. I did have to do a tiny bit of inletting for the timney trigger. With the stock trigger it drops in. This gun will shoot 250g hornady sp. into one ragged hole!

I bought a Hogue Rubber-Overmolded stock with pillars, and used it for my son's .30-06. I dropped-in perfectly, and the rifle shoots better than before. Not bad for $100.00 at Cabela's and other companies.

Since I got good results with this stock, I bought another for a Ruger 10/22 with a target barrel.
