Went down to the rinky-dink gun show to see friends and waste a little time and found a treasure. A pre-64 model 70 in 300 Win. Mag.. The rifle is in about 96% to 97% overall condition with the Metal at darn near 100%. It is wearing a period Weaver K 4 in Redfield one piece base mounts. A really nice find. These little shows can really fool you!

For some reason LB404 and I have found better gun deals at the little rinky-dink shows than the big ones. This is 2 in a row for LB404......DJ

There's no paint drying on DJ'S feet either. After the show and lunch DJP snuck off to a local gun shop and scored on a Like New Beretta Silver Hawk for a SUPER price. Way to go DJ.

it must be where you are at because here in the land of 10,000 lakes everything is priced at 3-4 times what it is worth.

Here, here for the rinky dink gun shows! I frequent one show in Salt Lake and another much smaller one up north. More often than not the dealers at the large shows are crooks who want to make a killing on the unwary, the prices are laughable, the small shows seem to have a handfull of locals willing to pass on a good deal and sometimes THEY are the unwary seller!

Im still kicking myself for passing a good deal on a neat little 7X57 at the last small show I attended, but I did bring home what I was looking for that day. A Model 81 Woodsmaster for $250.00. I saw some of those same guns at the crossroads show just last week listed as high as $850.00 What a joke!

The small shows here are hit or miss situations. What kind of 7x57 did you leave behind. I found a Brno model 21h for less half the asking price on the auctions at the last show and it sits in my safe now with Talley mounts.
