express sight instalation
What is the convention for sight alignment when adding iron sights to an express rifle
height of rear sight vs. front blade? Do you construct the sight plane dead level to bore and notch the rear? I will install a 2/32 nd's ivory in the front blade

Dumb question but if you don’t know you don’t know

thanks

found it

Just for giggles...something else to keep in mind is the size of the receiver ring...i.e. 98 at 1.4 (roughly)...half of that is .700...now if you have a scope base, it will usually come in at .250.

Right! the sights will have to be at least something more than .950 over the bore CL to be able to be seen. The illustratiopn of ".743" in the tape would not work even with a M-70 with a scope base.

Experience with big bores have also shown that those big bullets drop FAST! say a 458, you'll have to factor in almost 2 feet at 100 yds
