<Shad>Composition stock for Model 7
I'm searching for a high quality composition stock for a Remington Model 7 which doesn't have the schrabel forend. Looking for a slim classic style which will accomodate a 3 taper. Anyone know of any manufacturers. I recall that Bishop used to produce one, but can't locate a web site. Thanks.

<Jordan>Brown Precision used to make a stock for the Rem custom shop which had a rounded pistol grip at the base and which was very slender in the forearm. I called Brown the other day. They no longer supply the Rem custom shop, but they still make that same great design. You can get it in Kevlar (I wish they offered carbon fiber) and it will weigh in at about 16 ozs without the recoil pad and bedding. Its symmetry and proportions are 'bout perfect for a lightweight mountain rifle on the model 7 action.
