I thought you said gun STOCKS, which are made of wood.

Heh Heh.....

I prefer wood.....and I guess I also think "wood" first when I hear the term gunstock.

Just out of curiosity........ what is your generic term for "gunstock" as it applies to a product of man-made material....... not wood?

If you can find a dealer who has ordered direct or if you can order two you can get a large discount by going direct.

I use them on light weight rifles the are excellent. But, like has been said they are not a drop in.

They also have no soul like a warm piece of wood but, they are an excellent way to get a real light rifle.

I should have said Plastic gun handle. I hunt from trees and in thickets. No way would I take a high quality chunk of tree to the woods, I am way too clumbsy. The nice wood stocks I have only go to the range and light hunting on bluebird days. I can get a Basner at dealer cost for 150 out of Brownells. The length of pull will need cut and pad studs paint it will give me something to do while I wait for the rifle to come back.
