Safely rebore an 1885 High Wall?
It's got no collector value. It's a .32 WCF. The muzzle is .737. Reboring to 45cal. will leave .1435 walls. Too thin?

Thanks, Rob

If the barrel is that small in diameter, there's a good chance it has the smaller threaded shank the size of a Low Wall. Too small for me for a .45. Check shank diameter, but the muzzle would be pretty thin anyway, and the rifle would be too light.
Check on lining it.

I just measured both my 458 rifles and they both have a #5a contour and measure .750 at the muzzle. I see no reason why it would be tough to re-bore a barrel measuring what your does. I think, however, with a little research you will find a nice 45 cal barrel for alot less than a re-boring job would cost.
