When I think of all the waiting I did for the MRC M1999 actions and how long it was going to take and here is one all done for only a few bucks.

nice rifle, but I heard CZ has pretty much give up on montana and are going to discontinue the model 3, is MRC even in business anymore?? CZ needs to start makeing a true short action again

I just bought a left hand MRC 1999 barreled action in .308 Win. on special (no longer available) for $499. The CZ mod 3 has the same action length and barrel contour (#2) but is only available in those damn short mags. I was also able to buy a CZ3 stock (American black walnut, fancy grade) from CZ's supplier with recoil pad, sling swivels, and completely finished for $117.
So, the whole thing (plus $100 for blueing) cost about $620. MRC is definitely still in business but also still on "Montana time".
