Bedding question
I recently bought a stocky's pillar bedding kit.
For a boydds laminate stock on a long action a-bolt.

My dilema is the rear pillar for the action screw is too big in diameter for the stock if I center re-drill the rear action screw it will go into the trigger opening of the stock.

So do I

1) Action bed without the pillars

2) Action bed with only the front pillar

3) Get different smaller diameter pillars to bed.

My other question is the trigger mechanism is pinned on an a-bolt am I ok just taping it off well and using release agent
or remove it by drifting the pins?

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Or, when you drill out the rear hole, don't drill it all the way through the guard area. Insert the pillar from the top.

Better yet, turn it down as suggested.

What good is a pillar if it doesn't go all the way through?

Big bird, the trigger is attached with a cross pin and a hex headed bolt. Don't take any chances, remove it. Pay attention to the bolt lock rod and how it is attached to the trigger and where it goes in the receiver.

Brownells trigger block. I've never used one but it might be something that will help you with the trigger area:
