I just fell heir to a Midland 2100 in 270. I know that the action is a hybrid 98/03 Spingfield made by the Parker Hale - Gibbs bunch and would like to know more about it. Looking close at it there is no C ring, the bolt butting up to the barrel, and no extractor cut as in the 03. It also looks like another weak point would be in the bolt stop/ejector assy. Does anyone know anything about these rifles?
