I have a Brazilian M1908 mauser with an FN sporter barrel that was rechambered to .300 Win Mag. I altered the rails, the area of the action under the rails and the magazine box witdth so now it feeds pretty good and I don't have rounds popping out of the magazine when I slam the bolt back after a shot. But---the last round in the magazine does not pop up under the extractor like the first two rounds and goes into the chamber somewhat crooked. I was describing this situation to a friend and he feels the follower is to blame.
I see Midway offeres a follower for mausers for magnum cartridges so there must be a difference.

It is,this is exactly what the "magnum" follower is supposed to eliminate! I believe it states that in the Brownell's catalogue.

There is a short-magnum follower listed on Midways site for about $29.00US which would be about $75.00Canadian.
I was just wondering about the differences between the two types of followers. Is the bench wider and the hump taller?

Thankyou
That's exactly the kind of information I was looking for.
