Winchester model-70 Classic LT grip cap replacement?
Does anybody make a metal replacement cap for this stock? My factory plastic one has a chip in it and I'd like to replace it with a metal one. I'm looking for something that will bolt in with out modifying. Is there such a thing? Thanks, Terry

TC1,
Brownells offers several grip caps, one or more of which will probably fit your stock. Go to www.brownells.com and do a product search using "grip cap" as your search terms. The dimensions of the various grip caps are listed, and I have found that the Neidner steel grip cap was a pretty good fit for my M70 stock.

They also have replacement grip caps listed for the LT (plastic) and the Super Grade (metal), which may fit the LT stock.

Hope this helps,
Wayne E.

The Model 70 supergrade gripcap is exactly like the plastic one. I changed all of mine to steel. Order from Brownells under winchester parts for about $17.00.

Thanks for the replies. The super grade cap is what I'll get.
