Cost to finish Semi-inleted Stock?
I am looking at buying a unfinished semi-inleted stock from Dakota Arms for a Vz-24. What is a fair price to pay to get it inleted, bedded, and finished? Nothing fancy just good work.

Some (hopefully!) practical advice: Unless you're building a high dollar custom job, and willing to spend big bucks, you're probably gonna have to do it yourself. If you do decide to do it yourself: Buy inexpensive wood for your first try. Glass bedding cures a lot of mistakes-but not where it shows... Buy a few good chisels/rasps rather than a "kit". Stockmakers handscrews/headless screws are a necessity (Brownell's).

Doc,
I would think that you could get it inletted for $300. and a nice shape and finish for another $300 plus parts (recoil pad and grip cap $50.00) Checkering would be another $200 or more depending on detail.....Add $100 for an Ebony FE tip if you want one. and you could take off $100 if you would accept glass bedding.
