The OEJ (One Eyed Jack) finally on its way home
Took a few photos of the One Eyed Jack before packaging. Thought some of you might enjoy seeing them. Jack Belk did the mealwork on a 1909 Argentine Mauser. There is one of Jim Wisners straddle floor plate on the bottom metal. Caliber is 7X57. The last 2 groups it shot had 3 shots into .9". No special loads, just something I had loaded up.

Hey Chic, You mind shooting a close up of those custom bases before you send it off? Those really caught my eye while everything was still in white.

Thanks,

Terry

Chic

A nice rifle for present and future generations to treasure. What kind of grip cap is that?

Customstox
Idared, it is a Dakota skeleton grip cap.

Chic.....way to nice a piece of wood to "waste" on a rifle. I've got a Krieghoff K-80 that needs some wood like than....any 2-piece of similar quality just laying around?

Damned nice work all the way around! Too nice to hunt with, but it would be sweet to knock over a nice muley with it!

DB Bill,
Waste???? lol, I am working on 3 shotguns right now but not at the stocking stage yet. I have an english blank that is similar in feathered crotch in a rifle blank but all it take to make it a 2 piece is a saw. That is the nice about rifle blanks, it is easier to keep them together.

Here is a teaser for you. Jeffeoso had gas pains over it. It is spoken for, makes it even more desirable.

That looks like the one you stole from me in Reno two years ago. LOL

That rifle makes me want to burn my old Winchester and take up bowling.
I'm now embarrassed to be seen in public with it.
