Remington Titanium re-chamber
Could a Remington 700 Titanium action be reamed from, say .308 to .300WSM?

It's a lightweight rifle so I'll assume a lightweight action. Does than mean it might not be strong enough to handle a (short)magnum cartridge?

The action won`t be a problem. The pressures of most modern cartridges is very close and actions that they chamber for one round are the same that they chamber for the next. The only question I see, remember I`M NOT A SMITH, is if there is enough chamber wall in the barrel to ream to the larger diameter round. Another bit of work needed is to open the bolt face to take the larger rim on the WSM case and feeding maybe a problem with out reworking the rails.

The ACTION is titanium, NOT the barrel!! Titanium can't be rifled! You're not talking about reaming the ACTION, just the barrel. It wouldn't be any different from reaming a barrel that's mounted in a steel action!! [Roll Eyes]

well, ok you both raised valid points, I guess my question was discracting seeing as I specifeied the TITANUIM bit.

Ok, the action is strong enough.

Question is; Is there enough chamber wall on the profile they use for the Titanuim model, which looked light to me, for it to be reamed to a .300WSM?
