stock ?
I got a stock for a unknown rifle I belive it may be for a winchester 70. the previous owner said it wouldnt fit his 70. I have found there are two spacings for the action screws, 7in. and 7.5in. my stock has the 7in spacing. what year of rifle do i need to look for ( with the 7in spacing)to see if it fits. Here are som pics of it. Im not 100% certin its a winchester.

Could be an MRC 1999. They are very close in appearance to to the Mod 70 but not interchageable.

I klnow its not a remington it wont fit mine. the bolt spacing is 7in. the bottom is cut square like a mauser style action. winchester and maybe weatherby vangaurd are what i have narrowed it down to. square cut action and bolt hole behind the recoil lug maks me belive its winchester. jeremy

Looks like a short action winchester. 7 " is too short for a pre 64, and a long classic.
