WahooSavage BVSS
I recently saw at at a gun show a Savage BVSS that had the twist stamped on the factory barrel. It was something like "! in 8.3 twist" on the barrel on the right, just ahead of the receiver. Never having seen this before, I am curious as to the purpose. Does Savage stamp the twist on all of their CF rifle barrels? This was a .223 Remington. Appreciate comments from knowledgeable posters.

WahooNeither have I before ever seen seen the twist stamped on the barrel of any factory rifle but it was stamped on this one and that is precisely why I posed the question. I am not looking for persons who have not seen such a rifle, I was looking for somone who had seen such a rifle.
