I am looking to have some work done on my good old M77 22-250 and would like someone local. I am interrested in having it reamed out to AI, flute the barrel, and get the trigger worked on. Anyone?

Bret Graveline at Nimrod Custom Rifles in Diamond Springs. 530-622-2508. He prefers building rifles but this is close enough. He's built over 50% of my rifles, and every one I've done in the last 8 or 9 years.

Try Ernie Paull at Paull Firearm Specialties in Rancho Cordova. 916-631-1609. He as rechambered, rebarreled, built super accurate benchrest rifle, and customized a M98 for me in the last 3 or 4 years.

Well if Woodland isn't too far you can give Craig Maraviov a call. He isn't cheap but he does good work and I know he can handle all those things you mention. His number is (530) 668-4867. Call after noon Tuesday through Friday but not till next week. He's on a deer hunt in the Trinity Mountains right now.

My bad! That number is 530-622-2508.

He's deer hunting today. Not sure when he'll be back. He's a MAJOR hunter.

I haven't used them myself, but I have a friend that uses and likes J&G in Roseville.

See if you can track down Charley Young. He did a bit of work for me when I lived out there during my working years. He's a bit cantancerous, likes to do things his way, but he knews how to make a rifle sit up and shoot. He was having health problems just before I moved away from the area. If he's still in business, he's the best.

I was thinking of J&G. He has been around for years and I think my dad knows him pretty well.
