Can anyone supply any info on a gunsmith named G.R.Douglas? I think he may be from Story.WY. Good/Bad? Dead/ Alive? Any info appreciated. Thanks

The only GR Douglas that I'm aware of, is the barrel maker from Charleston, WVA.
Maybe there is another..

There was/is a DGS Gunsmithing in Casper, Wy. owner Dale Storey.
Never used him but saw good write ups about him, also read he was looking to retire a few years back.
DMB is correct about the barrel maker, sounds like you have a rifle made with a Douglas bbl. by Mr. Storey.

He was the originator of Douglas barrels. His nephew Bob Douglas was one of our past presidents of Clan Douglas.

Douglas barrels have been around for many years and they are well known and do a fine job.
