Alberta CanuckI had both mine, and foolishly sold them 30 years ago....
A Westley Richards hand-detachable box-lock .450/.400, and
A Westley Richards (Mauser) .318 Accelerated Express.
Too soon old, too late smart....
My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still.

deer308hi alberta,
they are both very nice rifles and i would say that over here in the uk it would be very hard to replace them these days.

vapodogHard to say but it's a toss up between a .375 H&H M-70 classic on a pretty piece of (believe it or not) Claro.....and a .404 Jeffery on a 1999 MRC action on exhibition bastogne.
Sadly they don't get used but for fun anymore.

FMC
Pre War mod 70 270 Win, built the second month of production (March 1936) ser. #109, 24in Krieger barrel, Conetrol rings on custom bases, nice piece of bastogne, stock by Soverns, leather covered recoil pad, rust blued, nitre blued screws and extractor, inletted sling swivels, skeleton grip cap, now has a Zeiss VM/V 3-9 x 42 scope, and the beauty is the bitch shoots under 1/4in all day long.
It is the most beautiful and unique rifle I own, and ironically, the most abused as it has more dings scratches and gouges than all my other rifles combined. Those pics were when it was new. But like I said, the bitch'll shoot..........

deer308well boys if i was buying a new rifle i would go for something like this.
bat action (repeater)
match grade s/s barrel hunter contour
6.5x55 caliber
robertson stock with floor plate.
i know that you guys in the US can have these built for a very good price but over here the cost stupid ammounts of money.
any more ideas.
