Replacement trigger for Savage/Stevens 17 HMR?

Have a friend who says the trigger on his 17 HMR is terrible. He swears it is a Savage; I think it is made on the Stevens lable. It is definately not the newer accu-trigger. Anyhow, he asks if there is a better trigger that can be more-or-less drop in. I don't have a clue, but I'd thought I would ask the experts. Thanks/ Chaz

Sharp Shooters Supply makes an awesome drop in for Savage or Stevens. They have a website i cant post a link but i think its SSS.com I have two and they are very nice.
