Anyone recognize the mfg'r of this bbl.
A 7x57,,,10 inch twist.
Just wondering who may have made it.
24" long, perfect bore. Couldn't pass it up for $10.

The threads do make me wonder.

It'll be good for something even if I never use it.

Threads are Springfield or Enfield. Ten square, different ODs.
Markings has characteristics of old Douglas.

Thank you for the Douglas ID.

the LH threads have me wondering too!

The OD of the threads is just shy of 1.1
Bottom of threads is .095 at this point.

I might use it to 'stub fit' it to another bbl's threaded section.
The cylindrical section just forward of the threads is plenty long, about 2" and at 24" OAL now, there's more than enough to cut off the LH threads, and re-thread for something else.
For what, I don't know yet.
So many things going, I may never get to it.

The Norwegian Krag has a nominal threaded diameter of 1.05 12 square threads per inch left hand.

If that is a vintage Douglas, it is just begging to be re-purposed onto a Mauser receiver.
