BlueprintedSafety question
Will a two position safety on a VZ24 slick up as nice as that peruvuan below? Can an after market bolt shroud made to clean up the rear of the bolt, (The kind to used with Trigger safetys, Interarms style) accept a two postion???? They run about a 1/3 of the cost of a three postion Dakota or Gentry. Any body have some photos of two positions?? looking for ways to cut costs with out cutting corners. That little mauser below is real sexy. I am saving the photo becasue that is how I want my bolt.

Glen71I believe the Peruvian is sporting a two-position safety on a modified military shroud. I assume you are referring to the Don Klein rifle from Hallowells.

WinkIn Europe it is quite easy to get 2 position safeties for Mauser type rifles, both right side and left side. Yes, some prefer the left side. In the latest Frankonia catalog (page 46) they are listed at 139 Euros.
I don't have a photograph but you might be able to get more information from their French web site
www.frankonia.fr They may also have a German site but I don't read German so have never tried to find out. The product numbers are 75525 for the left side safety and 75315 for the right side.

BlueprintedI found the answer. A new after market shroud eliminates all the safety provisions and will not allow a two postion work, according to Brownell's Tech line. Orginal must be used for a shroud safety. Still would like some pics of the two position. Yes Glen that gun is sweet. I like the whole gun. Bolt has the right bend

ramrod340Jim Kobe will do a 2 postion on your shroud (swap) for $95 if you don't have a shroud I'm sure it is a little higher.
