9.3 bbl twist rate
I am abit at a loss of what twist rate to choose for my 9.3 x 64 brenneke. My Viht. manual is showing use of a 14 twist and my Nosler is also showing a 14 twist. Is not this a bit too fast? Suggested advisement here on shooting heavy bullets is to have a 10 twist rate. The 9.3 x 62 is shown with a 10 twist in my manuals.

I am gonna go with a 25.5in. bbl Douglas and a 1909 ARG. action, Sunnyhill metal, Timney trig, Wisners 2 pos safety. Contacted Stuart Sat. to do the metal work.

Pointers?

thanks

Just a note a 14 twist is slower than a 10 twist. 14 equals one complete rotation for every 14 inches of forward movement while the 10 is spinning one in 10.

My 93x62 has a 12 twist and stabilizes 286gr bullets quite well.
