Anyone familiar with a gunmaker named A.R. PRYOR? Maybe from the '40-'50s?

Someone asked this on another site, but I am curious also. Guy had a nice vz24 sprorter

I have one too, fn Mauser, 338 win in a Biesen stock. Serial 549, I'd like some more info on this piece. I'm from Birmingham, I believe Mr. Pryor was too. We have lost a lot of his generation and info about this man and his work is word of mouth as far as I can find. Anyone else have more to add.
