Austin HunterReplacement Stocks
Does anyone know a gun stock company that has larger sporter express type patterns for Mausers and Enfields? Obviously someone could do a custom one from scratch, looking for something off the shelf that would only need some modified inletting.
Mauser used a rounded bottom on their grips for some of their Oberndorf sporting rifles versus a flat bottom with a grip cap between the wars. I will try and make some photo copies of the stocks and post them later.
Here's one that is close - the front and magazine area are correct, but without the rounded grip

GrandViewIf it's mainly the round grip you're looking for.......the 2nd rifle from the bottom was shaped from a standard GAG (gunstocks.com) semi.
Plenty of wood there. Ditto in the forearm for the style you desire.
Grand View,
Those are very beautiful rifles, any one of which I would be proud to own.

Austin HunterThanks - That's what I probably do - finish the grip and forearm myself - and then make some copies. I talked with Henry at Gunstocks.com last night about some stocks he had on hand.
