Dago RedDetachable Magazines
While goofing around on Brownell's site I saw a detachable magazine floorplate setup that is listed as discontinued. Looked like it could be used on an M98 to convert to a detachable magazine design, and said it would solve feeding problems in converted bigbores.
Anybody know if there are detachable magazine kits still made by somebody else and how well they work?

Gibbs Rifle Co. makes a detachable magazine for a Mauser. It uses the standard triggerguard minus the floorplate. I bought one to try it, and I was not impressed.

<JBelk>I've never seen one that was worth half the hammer it'd take to mash it flat.

Dago Redthanks, I had never seen one so wasn't sure if a quality item was available. I'll look into hinged floorplates.
