ElCaballeroNews from Blackburn Machine
I called CNC specialty today and Ted himself answered the phone himself. He told me the story of how he got started in the bottom metal business and how it has now "gotten out of hand". He said that he is considering out sourcing that end of the business to someone that can keep up with orders. He just needs to find someone who does work that he approves of.
Interesting I thought. I would pay the same amount if I could get it when I wanted it.

577NitroExpressI was going to use Blackburn for the bottom metal for my .30-06 project. My gunsmith, Roger Ferrell, really likes them and recommended them for my project.
Roger said that after having some items on order for over six months, we decided to go with Sunny Hill for my project so as not to delay it any longer.
This is both good and bad news for Blackburn, IMHO. Yes, they make a great product, but cannot meet the demand.

22WRFMaybe Ted is wanting to get out of the business. Might be time for a LBO
