RollandMetric screw assortments
Is there such a thing as an assortment of metric screws. Maybe like the scope mounting assortments???
I am in need of some small screws from time to time. Right now I need a couple of grip panel screws for a Canadian Hi- power. As near as I can tell they are #3 .35 and I do not have anything close and did not want to re-tap the holes.

RollandThe ones on amazon are either stainless or socket head not the slotted ones. Which are the type I was hoping for. Ya I know hard to please but it is what the customer wants and they are always right.

Peter ConnanStandard metric thread for that size would be M3 x 0.5, so what you have seems to be a special even if it were not a slotted head.
And other than hardware-grade junk, slotted screws are very hard to find in metric threads.
I live in a well-Metricated country, and I very much doubt I would be able to buy something like that off any shelf. I'm afraid you are either going to have to make your own (which will be quite a challenge) or find a donor gun.

eagle27The M3 0.35 pitch metric screw is not a special, it is the fine thread mate of the coarse thread M3 0.5 pitch.
Should be some available somewhere. Electrical fittings etc., are a good source of small screws as are kids toys and models.
The British BA fine threads are often very close to metric in diameter and pitch and can be made to fit, most BA screws are slotted heads.

BobsterI don't know if the Canadians used the FN pattern, but here are some original FN grip panel screws.
